• April 2006: The Vanunu Freedom Ride
  To protest at Mordechai's continuing persecution, to demand his complete freedom and the dismantling of all nuclear weapons, we are organising the Vanunu Freedom Ride - a bicycle ride starting in Glasgow on 7th April 2006, and ending in London on 21st April 2006. We are planning to stop at various towns and cities on the way where we will hold events to raise awareness of Vanunu's situation and Israel's nuclear weapons - still secret and not subject to international inspection.

• 26 Oct 2005 Mordechai Vanunu has been proposed to receive an honorary doctorate from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

VANUNU WAS FREED ON 21ST APRIL 2004
YET STILL REMAINS HELD IN ISRAEL AGAINST HIS WILL

The photos above show Vanunu on his release from Ashkelon prison, Israel, on April 21st 2004.

Incredibly, after serving an 18 year sentence
(11 1/2 years of which were spent in solitary confinement) the Israeli government continues to hold him in Israel against his will.
